At the completion of your operation, while you are still
asleep, the anaesthetist supervises your transfer from
the operating theatre.
With the aid of all the staff,
you will be placed on a sliding board, transferred from
the narrow operating theatre onto a recovery trolley.
You will still be asleep at
this stage.
Your anaesthetist will stay with you until you are in
the recovery ward.
You will arrive into the
recovery unit where you will
be very closely watched by dedicated trained recovery
nurses until you are awake enough to be transferred back
to the ward.
