I work full time as an anaesthetist in the 6 Hospitals in the Illawarra.

I live as well as work in the Illawarra, and in my free time I enjoy my family life at home with my wife and two sons, reading, music, art and tennis, and skiing in the winter.  

Professional

Following my graduation as a doctor from Sydney University, I specialized in Anaesthesia. I have worked in England, Tasmania and NSW as an anaesthetist for over 20 years.  

I feel our role is to care for you during your surgery and to provide the best method of pain relief during and after the surgery that will suit you, whether a:

• general anaesthetic (where you are asleep)

• spinal or epidural (when the lower half of your body is numb), sedation (when you are awake but drowsy)

• local blocks ( to for example numb the shoulder and arm)

• Injection and tablets for pain control
