Robbie

Southern Orthopaedics took direction September 1998 when our new Practice Manager Robbie Cheadle commenced employment.
 

From a management background in health insurance, she now applies her skills to practice management and is concentrating on applying a more efficient and customer focused approach which we are all firmly committed to.

Jane

Jane is the registered nurse in the practice and may well see her in the rooms and the operating theatres at the Figtree Private Hospital.
 

She is in charge of surgical bookings within the practice and ensures patients have been quoted and booked in for the procedure.
 

Jane assists Dr Haber in theatre at Figtree Private Hospital and also ensures patient’s transition from hospital to home is arranged and organizes the first follow-up appointment. 
 

Jane also liaises with the health funds and insurance companies to ensure patients surgery is organised prior to surgery.

Dr Steven Ng

Dr. Ng has increased his consultation time here at Southern Orthopaedics. Dr. Ng has been authorised by WorkCover as an Injury Management Consultant as set out in the present Workplace Injury Management and Workers Compensation Legislation.

Ali

Medical Secretary/Typist

Ali joined the practice in 1999 and has a great deal of experience as an Orthopaedic Surgeon’s Secretary having worked in the industry for a number of years. 
 

Ali  predominantly types and prepares the surgical reports to the referring doctors and relevant insurance companies.

Ali has just recently taken over the role of Medico Legal Secretary and now co-ordinates appointments, typing and billing of all Medico Legal Reports. She also helps out on Reception when required. 
 

Kathy

Medical Receptionist/ Secretary/ Typist

Kathy is one of our receptionists at Southern Orthopaedics.  Kathy joined us in October ’99 and she brings with her a wealth of experience in the Medical/Secretarial field.
 

Kathy has worked in a number of Medical Practices throughout NSW and also has a great knowledge of the IAHS Rehabilitation Clinics within the Illawarra.  

Kathy is also Dr Ng’s Secretary and co-ordinates his appointment schedule and injury management consultations while he is working in Wollongong.
 

Angela

Book Keeper/Secretary

Angela has been working here at the practice on a casual basis since May 2002.

Angela has an extensive management background and uses her skills to assist in the management/accounting procedures of the practice.
