Southern Orthopaedics’ shoulder team treats all major shoulder conditions, including rotator cuff injuries, frozen shoulder, instability, arthritis, fractures, sports injuries and shoulder replacement, across our Sydney, Wollongong, Campbelltown and Macquarie University clinics. The team draws on diverse subspecialty training and research experience to deliver coordinated care throughout the course of shoulder treatment.

Dr Mark Haber

Dr Mark Haber, Shoulder Surgeon Sydney, Shoulder Specialist, Orthopaedic SurgeonAssociate Professor Mark Haber is the founding shoulder specialist at Southern Orthopaedics. He has built an international reputation in shoulder surgery, becoming the first surgeon in Australia to carry out a computer-navigated shoulder replacement procedure in January 2017. His work has been recognised globally, including the ISAKOS Caspari Award.

Dr Andrés Rodriguez Borgonovo

Dr Andres Rodriguez BorgonovoDr Andrés Rodríguez Borgonovo qualified as a Doctor of Medicine in Buenos Aires before going on to complete four consecutive years of advanced subspecialty fellowship training across Australia and Switzerland, giving him an internationally-informed approach to shoulder care. Today, his practice at Southern Orthopaedics is dedicated exclusively to shoulder conditions and treatment.

Dr Navin Gurnani

Dr Navin GurnaniDr Navin Gurnani graduated in Medicine from Leiden University, one of Europe’s oldest and most established medical schools. He completed a PhD focused on improving surgical options for patients with irreparable rotator cuff tears, specifically studying the latissimus dorsi tendon transfer. He developed his shoulder and upper‑limb experience through appointments at major Dutch hospitals before undertaking advanced shoulder and joint fellowship training in Australia.
